The Karpinsky Electric Machine-Building Plant has been a manufacturer of large DC/AC electric machines for special equipment used in the mining industry for 65 years. KEMZ has historically specialized in equipment for excavators; the plant's nomenclature includes a wide range of electric motors and generators of main drives for quarry and walking excavators. Currently, KEMZ is a diversified production, economic, research and design complex with a closed production cycle from design of various types of products to their after-sales service. The production base provides all stages of the product manufacturing process. The modern production complex is equipped with high-tech machines and equipment from Russian and foreign manufacturers. Assembly of electric machines and their testing are carried out on specialized test benches using individual technologies. KEMZ has its own design department and test base. A qualified engineering corps allows independent development of design documentation and launch of new types of products into production. This ensures rapid introduction of new developments and advanced technologies into production, allows producing products of various complexity of high quality, changing parameters at customer request. The plant's production activities are carried out in several areas: Electrical equipment for quarry equipment (motors/generators) for EKG, ESH type excavators, large quarry dump trucks, conveyors, crushers, mills; Mine equipment (explosion-proof electric motors); Components for railway transport; Electric motors for urban electric transport; Equipment for large drilling rigs; Crane motors; Synchronous generators for diesel generator units.
